Modern medicine is shifting from reactive care to proactive, preventive health. Whole-body MRI makes that shift practical: a single, noninvasive scan that images nearly every major organ system — brain and spine, liver, kidneys, pancreas, gallbladder and bile ducts and more — all without any radiation exposure.
Why consider whole-body MRI
When symptoms of some diseases finally appear, options may already be limited. Whole-body MRI is designed to detect potential concerns earlier — numerous cancerous tumors, aortic aneurysms, inflammatory conditions, enlarged lymph nodes — often before symptoms appear, when more treatment options are available. It also establishes a baseline for future comparisons, giving you and your physician greater insight as you age.
What the exam is like
In less than an hour, you’ll lie comfortably while the scanner captures detailed images head to toe. There are no injections for the screening study, no contrast, and no radiation. Your images are read by RMI’s fellowship-trained radiologists, and you receive a complete report through the patient portal to share with your personal physician.
Pricing built for self-directed care
Whole-body MRI is a self-pay exam — deliberately priced to be accessible. See our cash pay pricing for current rates, or call our scheduling team. If you’re exploring preventive screening, our team can also discuss companion tests such as cardiac calcium scoring and CT lung cancer screening.
