Michael J. Hicks, MD

Dr. Michael J. Hicks specializes in abdominal and pelvic imaging. He earned his M.D. from Michigan State University, completed his internship at Hurley Medical Center, and served as Chief Resident in Diagnostic Radiology at the University of Michigan, where he also completed his fellowship in Abdominal Imaging.

An educator and leader, Dr. Hicks was awarded “Teacher of the Year” two straight years as a senior resident and fellow at the University of Michigan, and currently chairs the Young Physician Section of the Michigan Radiological Society. His research on colorectal and breast cancer has been published in peer-reviewed journals.

Dr. Hicks is an expert in prostate MRI and actively works to advance prostate cancer screening and diagnosis — personally reading the prostate MRI exams performed at RMI.
